Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have gone their separate ways for a bit, and Selena has let her hair down. Literally. The singer/actress is in Italy, promoting her movie Spring Breakers, which premieres Wednesday at the Venice Film Festival. But Tuesday night was all for fun, especially with movie co-star James France in the mix. Dinner at Harry’s Dolci, reports Daily Mail, and then a wild water taxi ride in a speedboat on the river, with Selena’s hair blowing in the wind.
Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson were in the party, along with Vanessa’s boyfriend Austin Butler. Lots of PDA between those two, but Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are stuck on separate continents. Not that it would surprise anyone if the Biebs came roaring up in a private jet. He loves grand gestures, and money helps them happen.
Venice is a water-driven city, and speedboat rides are a major tourist attraction. So are gondola trips, but again, the romantic element is missing for Selena. Perhaps Vanessa and Austin might be interested.
Wednesday, the group turned their thoughts to business and to movie promotion. The indie film has been picked up, according to various sources, by Annapurna for distribution. Now, the idea is to get every Selena Gomez fan to go see it. Not to mention, of course, the James Franco crowd. But Selena’s fans are used to her dainty, good-girl ways. This gritty movie is different.
