Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s breakfast date details

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have joined up on the second week of his Believe tour, and they are crossing Canada together. Saturday, the two had a breakfast date—at just after noon—at the Blue Plate Diner in Edmonton, Alberta, reports the Edmonton Journal. The owner did not recognize the famous pair, but his staff quickly clued him in. “They said it was the hair that did it”, even though Justin wore all black, with a bandit-style bandana around his neck and up over part of his face. That worked well.

Justin Bieber, who had just played to a packed concert audience the night before, at the Saddledome in Calgary, had made the two hour drive with his entourage, just in time for a breakfast/lunch date. Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber wanted to be alone, said their security guard, who sat at a different table. He asked the diner’s owner John Williams—who was also their waiter—to keep to fans “at a distance”, so Williams seated them back in a corner and “Basically, I surrounded his table with oldies who didn’t know who he was or didn’t care,” said Williams. “They were well-insulated. No one bothered them.”

Selena Gomez, in a recycled red heart sweater, ordered huevos rancheros. Justin Bieber went with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, toast, hash browns and chocolate milk. No dieting for these celebs.

Meanwhile, every young fan in the place must have tweeted all her friends, because teenage girls began arriving. Soon the Blue Plate Diner was “the hottest ticket in town”. But by then Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber had scooted out the back door, leaving security to pay.

Justin plays at Rexall Place in Edmonton on Monday, so he and Selena have a little down time—to hit a local billiards parlor, for instance. Then on to Saskatoon. Will Selena stay or take a plane home?
