Justin Bieber's image makes ‘hideous’ bedroom décor and interferes with sleep

Justin Bieber’s face does not belong on your young daughter’s bedding, claims one mother in a new article published Friday. While he’s a heart-throb to many a young girl today, the reasons for saying no to Justin’s image all over your daughter’s bed are many. When you hear them you may realize that the teen crooner's face on your young daughter's bedding is not the “cute” thing to do.

Justin’s face appears everywhere in the shopping malls, department stores and grocery stores of America. Your young daughter can take him to school with his image plastered on her notebook, pocketbook or backpack. She can wear his likeness on her t-shirts, night clothes and school clothes every day for a month without wearing the same thing twice. The vast amount of objects that carry Justin’s image is overwhelming to both your field of vision and your wallet.
The line is drawn when it comes to bedding, reports Christina Pesoli from Huffington Post. Her own sixth grade daughter finds it bizarre to put Justin Bieber’s face on the comforter that she sleeps under every night, much to the relief of her mother. Christina presents five very good reasons not to plaster the teen crooner all over your daughter’s bed:

“1. It sends girls mixed messages about safeguarding their personal space and boundaries.”

Your bed is a safe, personal and very intimate space and a young girl having it infiltrated with her heart-throb is just not sending the best of messages, claims Christina.

“2. It pushes girls out of childhood prematurely.”

Heart-throb images on a young girl’s bedding is "yet another way of sexualizing young girls.” It falls in line with dolling up young girls with make-up and entering them into beauty pageants, suggests Christina.

“3. It conditions girls to accept imbalanced relationships when they are older.”

Christina’s take on this is that it teaches young girls to settle for this lop-sided relationship of idolizing Justin, who doesn’t even know your young daughter exists, a trait they may transfer to relationships when they are older.

“4. It’s hideous.”

Even if you found the above reasons a tad bit of a stretch, you have to agree with “it’s hideous” looking. Did you ever get a gander at the color schemes and how busy this bedding appears? There’s nothing aesthetically redeeming about these items at all!

“5. It doesn't help girls fall asleep.”

Christina suggests this loud bedding promotes insomnia as the advertising for some of this bedding suggests you will get your little girl’s “heart racing” when she slips into her Justin Bieber covered bed at night. Who want’s their kid’s heart racing at bedtime? That is why most parents limit sugar or products containing caffeine, like chocolate, at bedtime!

The case is made for Justin Bieber’s image to be tossed from the beds of the young girls of America! Or has it? What do you think?
